Nature Odyssey: Through the lens of Bedi Brothers
Ladakh The Forbidden Wilderness / Ladakh The Forbidden Wilderness
Synopsis
The remote and mysterious land of Ladakh lies in the northernmost region of India, sharing disputed borders with China and Pakistan. Due to the political sensitivity of the area, Eastern Ladakh was closed to outsiders for almost forty years. The secret of Ladakh’s fascination lies in its inaccessibility, cultural similarities with Tibet, scenic splendour as a mountain desert, landlocked lakes and peculiar fauna and flora. The film is a portrayal of the unique life which exists around Lake Tso Morari. Lying at an altitude of 4,500 meters, this 23-kilometer-long lake is the second largest in the region and is the only known breeding ground for the Bar-headed Goose in India.Details of Crew
