Synopsis

Mudiettu is considered to be one of the most ancient temple art forms being performed in Bhadrakali temples of Central Kerala region consists of Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta districts. This ritual portrays the tussle between the fiery Goddess Kali and Darika, the demon or Asura. The ritual is meant to spread the message of prevalence of Dharma over evil. It is one of the most spectacular and dynamic folk art of Kerala
