An Eventual Calamity of Time

Synopsis

A weaver of stories, my grandmother often narrated them through the night. One of which was about Mahabali, a lowly king who offered his head to a priest when he had nothing else left. Looking back, I see this as the story of my people, the ones who had to offer their heads in the name of caste. Denied an education for generations; a comb, a mirror, and pair of scissors is all they had as inheritance. But now being able to hold a camera I return to my hometown, hoping to reshape our narrative.
