Synopsis
While playing kabaddi in school, the uniform shirt of 11 year old Ram gets torn. His widow mother Malati tries to borrow some money for a new shirt from her employer but gets into an argument with his wife. Malati faces the village elders for her alleged misconduct. The whole village turns against Malati and gives an ultimatum to save herself and her son from getting shunned. Making matters worse, her dead cow needs to be buried before it starts stinking.
