Synopsis
In Mumbai’s Dahisar, deep inside Shanti Nagar slum, lives Irfan Shaikh—a 37-year-old dholak maker carrying a fading legacy. His entire basti, rooted in Barabanki tradition, handcrafts dholaks and djembes for festivals they’re not even allowed to play in. Unknown to the world, these artisans battle online markets, poverty, and silence. Yet, Irfan and his small community shapes each drum with pride, ensuring the beat of his unseen community is still heard.
