Synopsis
In the wake of an illegal demolition and consequent displacement crisis in Jai Bhim Nagar, Powai, in June 2024, 'Ekjut' addresses the injustices faced by homeless people. The film challenges the homogeneous understanding of women’s solidarity and the selective recognition of women’s safety concerns, asking, "Whose safety have we been protesting for all this time?"
