Director Sanu Kummil
Sanu Kummil is an independent documentary film maker from Kerala. He made his debut in 2018 with the film ‘Oru Chaya Kadakkarante Man ki bath’, which won the best documentary award in 11th IDSFFK. His second documentary film ‘6 feet under’, follows the pathetic conditions of dalit community and bagged the Best Malayalam Documentary Award in FFSI.

It travels through professional gamers, students and mental health professionals to have a deep understanding regarding the conflicting concerns of gaming in the present generation. Director Akhil Vijayan
Akhil Vijayan is a director, cinematographer and fashion Photographer who is settled in Nedumangadu, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. His debut work ‘The Distance’, a one-minute short fiction won the Best Third Film award in the competition conducted by PRSI (Public Relation Society of India).

Since mid-90s, women were forbidden to trek the Agasthyarkoodam mountain. Some brave women conducted street protests and led court battles against this inequality. After ages, when Kerala High court finally ruled in favour of them and lifted the ban, they trekked the peak.

Georgy Abraham, hails from Niranam, Kerala is currently pursuing a diploma in Screenwriting & Direction at KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science & Arts. His films include ‘Telltales of the Hills’, ‘When Tree Rains’, ‘Fragments’, ‘Honey’ and ‘Pitch Darkness’.

A teacher walks around eight kilometres daily through the forest path for educating tribal children for the past 20 years in Kerala. Her journey takes more than five hours. She throws light of knowledge into the life of many tribal children and opens a new world to them.

Dr. G. Kishor is a director, writer and television journalist in Kerala. He has been working in various Malayalam feature films as co-writer and as assistant director. After completing his graduation and post-graduation in Psychology he did his M. Phil and PhD in Theatre Arts and Film Aesthetics.


Theeyattu /  India/2021/ 17:25/Malayalam


The documentary covers Bhadrakali Theeyattu, a traditional ritual in detail performed at Ponekkavu temple, which is the only temple in the world which stages double Theeyattu. Bhadrakali Theeyattu is performed by Theeyaattunnis. Richly decorated in flamboyant costumes, elaborately decked headgears and face paintings, the dancers narrate and depict the tale of the fight between Darika and Bhadrakali.

Sreenath K is an independent film maker. He is a graduate from Neo film school who has worked on many short fictions and documentaries. Theeyattu is his debut directorial documentary film.
